Mill 'Windlust' is the only windmill in Limburg that produces oil, so it's unique in its kind.
The mill Windlust in the Limburg neighborhood Roeven is a belt grinder that was built in 1872. On October 5th 1944 the mill by German troops fired and the interior was salvaged from the mill in 1947. In 1979 notary Stassen bought the mill body and let it restore, largely at his own expense.
In 1993, the restoration was completed and the mill grind again with one stone torque. The municipality of Nederweert is since 2001 owner of the mill, where grain is ground on a voluntary basis.
The mill is open to visitors every Wednesday from 13:30 to 16:30. And from April 1 to October 30, the first Sunday of the month from 13.30 to 16.30.
